Put the brakes on

Stopping

Not something we usually consider doing

Particularly as nurses

We get consumed by busyness

And work, and more work and then more work

Long shifts, extra shifts and so on

We could live our lives better if we introduce a stop sign or two

Siestas, down time, doing nothing…

Its OK to slow down and put the brakes on your busyness,

you'll feel better for it
