Where Have All the Nurses Gone? The Impact of the Nursing Shortage on American
Healthcare
by Faye Satterly
This is a great read; it explains why there is a nursing shortage. It outlines a looming crisis in health care, although personally I think we are there already. I shudder to think what it will be like if it worsens. Given my mother is currently using health care services I found this a compelling read. It is certainly a call to action. Read it, tell your colleagues about it, use the information to influence and act to make a difference.
